Your Mission
As Serialization & Packaging Manager, you are responsible for the development, implementation and lifecycle management of packaging materials, artworks and serialization activities across international markets.
You ensure packaging readiness from product development through commercial launch while maintaining the highest standards of traceability, accuracy and compliance.
Working across functions and with external manufacturing partners, you play a key role in enabling product launches, supporting business growth and maintaining the highest standards of traceability and accuracy.
Reporting directly to the COO, this role offers broad exposure to international pharmaceutical operations and close collaboration with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, Graphic Designers, and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
Your Responsibilities
Serialization & Traceability
- Lead serialization activities across applicable products and markets in coordination with the related Business Unit.
- Manage serialization platforms and coordinate activities with CMOs and external partners.
- Oversee serial number generation, commissioning and data exchange processes.
- Support onboarding and qualification of manufacturing partners for serialization activities in coordination with the Quality Team.
- Ensure compliance with market-specific serialization and traceability requirements in coordination with the Quality Team.
- Monitor evolving regulations and support deployment of serialization capabilities in new territories.
Product Launch Readiness
- Support new registrations and market expansion projects, portfolio expansion projects and market launches through the preparation of packaging materials and launch deliverables.
- Develop packaging concepts and mock-ups to support product development and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate packaging activities for product launches, market expansions and lifecycle management projects.
- Implement approved packaging updates and ensure timely readiness for commercialization.
Packaging & Artwork Management
- Manage the lifecycle of packaging materials and artworks across all products and markets.
- Create and maintain packaging mock-ups, artwork files and packaging layouts.
- Coordinate packaging changes and artwork updates throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate artwork reviews and print proof approvals prior to production.
- Maintain packaging master data, specifications and technical documentation across the product portfolio.
Operational Excellence & Project Coordination
- Act as the primary point of coordination for serialization and packaging-related projects.
- Ensure alignment of activities, deliverables and timelines across internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Develop and continuously improve packaging and serialization processes.
- Maintain accurate packaging master data and traceability records.
- Lead the implementation and deployment of serialization capabilities in Switzerland and future applicable markets.
Your Profile
- Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in serialization required. 5+ years of experience in serialization, pharmaceutical packaging and artwork management.
- Experience working with CMOs, international product launches and regulated pharmaceutical environments.
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, compliance mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with TraceLink or similar serialization platforms is an asset.
- Fluent in English; French and additional languages are a plus.
